Understanding The Law Of Attraction
Law
Of Attraction - Glossary of Terms
The
following are some of the most common terms you will come
across in your study and practice of the
Law of Attraction.
Affirmation: A statement of a desire or intention designed to effect the
physical actualization of that stated
desire
or intent.
Autosuggestion: the process by which a person's beliefs and thoughts produce
physical evidence of the truthfulness
of
those beliefs and thoughts. In practice, autosuggestion
can be used
to train one's unconscious mind to conform to consciously
chosen beliefs and thoughts, thereby causing the physical
symptoms
of the validity of those beliefs and thoughts to come into
existence.
Consciousness: The self-aware, sentient, and subjective aspect of the mind
involved in the perception of self in relationship
to environment, including the forming of preferences, the
making of choices, and the taking of actions.
Deliberate
Creation: Consciously emitting vibrations into the universe
that elicit
specific changes in physical reality.
Ego: The illusory sense of identity and individuality separate
from the oneness of all-that-is in the universe that is
formed and fueled by the identification with one's own conscious
awareness.
Emotional
Set Point: One's ever-changing position at any given point
in time on the scale of emotions that range
from
those
that feel the worst to those that feel the best.
Energy: The
singular elementary component of everything (and everyone)
in the universe. Life force.
Intent
/ Intention: A thought that expresses
the fulfillment of a desire.
Interconnectedness
/ Interdependence: Terms that
refer to the concept that all things are extensions of
a single,
underlying
force and therefore inextricably connected, the implication
of this oneness being that beyond appearances there is
no actual separation between anyone and anything. The idea
that
everything
affects and is affected by everything else.
Law
of Attraction: The Universal Law that thoughts create things.
The Law of Attraction
states that we manifest in
our lives
those very circumstances, conditions, and situations that
we most think about. Whatever is the focus of our energy
becomes
the substance of our reality. The Law of Attraction therefore
also decrees that changing our lives is but a matter of
changing our minds.
Manifest
/ Manifestation: The actualization in physical reality of
nonphysical
vibrations
(ie. thoughts, feelings,
and beliefs).
Meditation: The process of clearing the mind and centering the body by
the practice of conscious, focused and intentional
relaxation.
Mind: That combination of consciousness and sub- or un-consciousness
responsible for perception, thought, emotion,
will, imagination,
and intellect.
Reality: The experience of being and existence.
Source
/ God / Universe: Source of infinite well-being
Subconscious: In the strict psychological sense, the adjective is defined
as "operating or existing outside of consciousness".
The term also appears in Sigmund Freud's very early work,
to denote the unconscious mind but was soon eliminated due
its
ambiguity.
Synchronicity: Synchronicity is the experience of two or more events which
occur in a meaningful manner,
but which
are causally
inexplicable to the person or persons experiencing them.
Universe: Used to refer to the totality of energy expressible in physical
and nonphysical reality. All that is.
God.
Vibration: The
movement of energy throughout the Universe.
Visualization: Mental pictures of desired circumstances and states of being
that can be applied towards effecting those
changes in physical reality.
