Help Me Get Rid Of My Hemorrhoids
How
To Get Rid of Hemorrhoids With Surgery
Sometimes no matter what type of hemorrhoid
cream you try or what type of hemorrhoids natural cure you
look to, it does not work for you. If you have a number of
hemorrhoids and if they are causing you a great deal of pain
and affecting your day-to-day life then a surgical procedure
might be your best option for the relief you so desperately
seek. Here we look at some of the surgical methods used to
treat hemorrhoids.
Sclerotherapy
Also sometime referred to as injection therapy, sclerotherapy
is one of the methods your doctor may suggest to you as a way
to treat your hemorrhoids. What happens with this therapy is
that a sclerosing or hardening agent is carefully injected
into the base of an internal hemorrhoid that is small and bleeding.
What this serves to do is to cut off the circulation of blood
to the remainder of the veins in the vicinity.
The agent that is used is a scar-producing chemical solution
that causes the hemorrhoids to get smaller and then to shrivel
up and no longer cause a problem for the patient.
The advantage of sclerotherapy is that it can be used to treat
hemorrhoids in a variety of areas at the same time. The disadvantage
however is that it does not tend to be very effective for large
sized hemorrhoids. In very rare cases sclerosed hemorrhoids
have developed complications such as abscesses.
Infrared and BICAP Coagulations
In order to get rid of hemorrhoids sometimes you need to undergo
a hemorrhoid treatment where electric current and infrared
light are used in conjunction with each other to burn off smaller
sized hemorrhoids. This treatment procedure is a new one that
has not been used very much as of yet. One of the reasons for
this is because the heat used can cause the patient to feel
a fair share of pain.
Hemorrhoidectomy
Hemorrhoids can be very aggressive in some cases and also
very severe. If this is the case then the best course of treatment
is a surgical procedure known as a hemorrhoidectomy. In particular
this surgery is recommended for those individuals who are suffering
with an internal hemorrhoid(s) that is very big and is causing
a tremendous amount of pain and discomfort. It is also a beneficial
hemorrhoid treatment for an individual who has a large external
hemorrhoid that causes a lot of pain and/or is severely itchy.
This type of surgery can be accomplished with the use of lasers
or a scalpel. The patient will require anesthesia and will
also need to be hospitalized. The surgeon will operate on the
patient by cutting off the hemorrhoids and then will close
the cut with a series of stitches. In many cases a small anal
pad is applied to the anus in order to absorb any drainage
that occurs. Following the surgery most patients need to spend
anywhere from three to 10 days in the hospital as they begin
to recover and then to take anywhere from one to four weeks
off of work in order for the healing process to be as smooth
as possible. # # # # #
