Help Me Get Rid Of My Hemorrhoids
What
Are The Symptoms of Hemorrhoids?
No one is ever happy when they develop hemorrhoids.
Regardless of what type you develop you will want to find a
hemorrhoid cure as fast as possible. However before you can
think about hemorrhoid relief, a hemorrhoid remedy or how to
get rid of hemorrhoids and keep them gone you need to understand
what the symptoms of the often painful condition are.
The most common hemorrhoid symptoms are as follows:
- blood
in the stools or on the toilet paper following a bowel
movement
- painful
bowel movements that are incomplete
- a
soft lump or lumps able to be felt at the opening to the
anus
- itching
of the rectal area
Please be aware that when you notice bleeding from your rectum
it could be a hemorrhoid symptom but it could also be symptomatic
of a more serious health problem. For example you intestines
could be inflamed or you could have rectal polyps or colorectal
cancer. Rectal bleeding might also be a sign of anal fissures
which are cracks that appear in the lining of the canal of
the anus and cause their share of discomfort. You should see
your physician right away if you experience bleeding from your
rectum. If it is hemorrhoids then a hemorrhoid treatment can
be prescribed but if it is something else then other treatments
can be looked at.
It cannot be emphasized enough that there are a selection
of anorectal problems that have similar symptoms to hemorrhoids
and can sometimes be incorrectly grouped together in the same
category as hemorrhoids. Irritation and/or itching (known medically
as pruritus ani) are examples of these as are fistulae, abscesses
and fissures. In most cases hemorrhoids are not a life threatening
health problem. In most (but not necessarily all) instances
hemorrhoidal symptoms will improve on their own and disappear
within a week or less.
Hemorrhoids
are very common in both sexes. Approximately one
half of the population will develop this rectal condition by
the time they reach the age of 50. Pregnant women are very
susceptible to the formation of hemorrhoids due to the pressure
exerted on the abdomen by the growing fetus. Hormonal changes
can also lead to the enlargement of hemorrhoidal vessels. The
good news is that pregnancy induced hemorrhoids is usually
a fleeting problem.
Not
every individual who develops hemorrhoids will exhibit
symptoms. Internal hemorrhoids may cause some bright red blood
to appear when using the toilet. In some sufferers an internal
hemorrhoid can end up protruding through the anal canal and
end up on the exterior of your body. This is referred to as
a protruding hemorrhoid and can become very painful and irritated.
The most
obvious symptoms of external hemorrhoids are swelling
that is uncomfortable and a hard lump that develops around
the anus due to the formation of a blood clot. This is known
as a thrombosed external hemorrhoid. # # # # #
