In the event of any major disaster or catastrophe, whether it be man made or natural, the biggest question on our minds, in that moment, is how to survive it. * Portable Butane stoves. Reliable and powerful yet a light five pounds. Usable indoors or out.

* Or a sun oven – portable at 21 lbs.- that cooks food with the power of the sun. Temperatures can reach up to 360 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

* Or you could opt for a 10oz folding stove that cooks over a small round fuel cannister.

* Pet Survival Kits that come with food rations and first aid kit.

* A 4 in 1 emergency tool that is designed simply yet efficiently to enable you to turn off gas, water, pry open doors or dig through debris.

* Kits that test the quality of water or detect the presence of dangerous gases.

* And let's not forget what we put on our backs. The type of clothes we have can be important especially if we are exposed to the elements for too long a time. Nowadays there are all manner of lightweight, insulated outerwear like jackets and pants. Waterproof clothes and boots should be a must for the family if a flood event is a possibility.
